New Skyfall/James Bond Trailer - View on Film

Hey Folks.  Been taking a little time off.  Don't worry, you haven't missed any big video releases in the last two weeks, as the big studios aren't releasing their premium product while the Olympics are going on.

Speaking of the Olympics, James Bond was featured in the Opening Ceremonies...and following on that, here's the new trailer for Skyfall coming this Fall.

Enjoy!

Dark Knight Rises - View on Film

Good Monday everyone.

I delayed posting my "Dark Knight Rises" review for the obvious reasons.  My heart is still heavy for the families and friends of the victims in Aurora, Colorado.  The movie theater is a sanctuary for yours truly, and it saddens me that it was the scene for such cowardice.  My thoughts were with the community of Aurora over the weekend, and I wish them the very best.

On to the film.....it's another triumph for Director/Co-Writer Christopher Nolan.  With the end of his trilogy, it's amazing he's raised a "Comic Book Film" to high art.

Ice Age: Continental Drift -

Good Friday!  Here's my look at Ice Age 4!  Dark Knight Rises next week!

Cheers!

American Reunion-

Good Tuesday!  Small pickings this week on DVD, but one I enjoyed.  It was like a reunion, seeing the original cast back since American Pie 2.  Not a great movie, but still plenty of R-Rated fun that only Jim and crew can deliver.  See my original review below.

Cheers!

The Amazing Spider-Man - View on Film

The Amazing Spider-Man-

Here's the kind of afterthought Comic Book movie this year, with the Avengers and Batman taking the lionshare of the spotlight.  But, with the rebooting of the wall-crawlers series be a good thing?  Find out in my full review below.

Cheers!

Ted - View on Film

Ted-

Mark Wahlberg teams up with Seth McFarland, the creator of the Family Guy, for a unique comedy about a man-child and his ALIVE Teddy-Bear.  It's as crude as can be....but find out if it's good below in my review.

Have a great weekend!  Spider-man next week.

Good Tuesday Everyone!

Big week this week.....and one big recommendation!

21 Jump Street-

You'd think I'd recommend the winner of best picture this year....but I can't bring myself to watch it!  On the other hand, I quite enjoyed 21 Jump Street.  Despite in having a really slow 20 minutes in the middle....it's good stuff with a great cameo surprise.  See my original review below.

Wrath of the Titans-

Oh do I hate this series!  Sam Worthington is a total lump on a log.....and this and the original Clash of the Titans are about as fun as a root canal.  Below is my original review.

The Artist-

Yes, I should see the 2012 Oscar winner for Best Picture....but I plain don't want to!  Rottentomatoes.com gives it a stellar 98%....but I still won't see it!

Mirror Mirror-

And.....the Snow White Stinker from the year.  Rottentomatoes gives it 50% Fresh Rating.....should be only for Julia Roberts fans, and kids.

Seeya Friday!

Brave-

Pixar's latest is the story of a fiery, young princess who learns some lessons on how to deal with her fate.  Below is my full review.

Have a great first weekend of Summer!

Good Tuesday everyone....another light week this week.

Project X-

Another 'Found Footage' film, a la Paranormal Activity...about a party gone bad.  I enjoyed this profane movie....you can see my review below.

Louie/Season 2-

This offbeat show from comedian Louis CK is one of my favorites currently on the air.  You never know what the show is going to be about, but it is guaranteed to make you laugh AND make you think.  I love it!  You can check out season 1 on Netflix.

Enjoy your week!

Pixar's Brave this Friday.

Good Tuesday!  One of my favorites from last year is here!

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows-

Super fun film from Robert Downey Jr. and company!  I really enjoyed it, and liked the formidable villian.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengence-

From the good to the bad sequel.  Can't believe Nicolas Cage is still grinding out the films, but here's another cluncker in the 2nd Ghost Rider Film.  Rottentomatoes.com gives it a woeful 18% approval rating.

No new review this Friday, I am off for the rest of the week.

Have a great week, and we'll see you soon,

Jason
